Steam and water boilers need annual maintenance to ensure efficiency and safety. For steam boiler especially it is important that the water chemistry is maintained and that the safeties are tested weekly during the winter. One failed boiler and a safety which hasn't been blown down on a regular schedule is a recipe for a denied insurance claim.
